Warning: This is not recommended for playing mods on windows. I'll make a new tutorial on how to play mods on windows without compiling sonic mania.

This is the only way to play sonic mania mods using wine and linux.

What you'll need

- ManiaModStudio
- Python 2.7
- The original extracted files inside the /data/ folder

Step 1. Put all your mods onto the /data/ folder.
Step 2. Make a backup of the modified Data Folder.
Step 3 & Knuckles. Extract the files in the ManiaModStudio/Tools folder to the same folder that Sonic Mania is.
Step 4: Episode 1. Make a backup of the sonic mania data.rsdk file.
Step 4: Episode 2. Open up a command window and navigate it to the sonic mania folder.
Step 4: Episode 3 & Knuckles. Type in rsdkv5_pack.py data.rsdk data
Step Mania. Enjoy, as your mods have now been compiled.
