Saw your mod have to say it's amazing. However if you don't mind I have a few suggestions for it:

-Change the canons to look more like "Bomubomu" enemy (make it look more like what the sprite is if possible). Basically you could make the body the part of the pig that doesn't change and the face/nose would be the side that changes.
-Change the MB3 sound effects into the ones from Mario Land 2
-Change the Bowser fireball into the fire balls shot by the Piranha Plant Statues
-Change the Bloopers into the Octopus boss (if possible seeing as it has a bigger sprite)
-Make the Power Meter (the running meter) invisible and make the running sound silent
-Change the Magikoopa's magic into a bat
-Change Thwomps into Pouncers from Mario Land 3

Here's a fun and simple idea.

Change everything in the SMB3 theme into the 16-bit sprite version from All-Stars.

If certain objects don't exist in that style they could either have certain things be taken from the GBA version (example Wigglers), just take things from the SMW theme or be recolored in Photoshop.

Yeah it's the exact same sprites so it's practically a matter of copy and pasting.

If it's okay here are some of my suggestions for the mod.

-Change the Bowser fireballs into the fire balls shot by the Piranha Plant Statues from Mario Land 2
-Change the Fire Ball animation into the ones used in Mario Land 2
-Change the Tiny Bloopers (the ones that follow the Blooper when you shake it) into the Octopus
-Make the Power Meter (the running meter) invisible and make the running sound silent
-Change the Magikoopa's magic into a bat that are used by the Vampire enemy in Mario Land 2 (I noticed on sprite ressource that the magic has a sprite for every rotating animation so it's possible)
-Change Thwomps into "Pouncers" from Wario Land: Mario Land 3
-If possible changing the the canon's bases into the feet of the pigs so that whatever the angle of the canon it will always look almost like it did in Mario Land 2
-Change Skewers into the "Wario Spiky Hand" from Mario Land 2

Hmmm I see.
Can each sprite be animated so that it will always spin counter clockwise making it seem like it's in place? Or is that impossible?

Yeah that's mostly optional to be honest.

My main wishes are the changes to the effect sprites like I said before, the Thwomps changed into Pouncers and Skewers changed to Genkotsu.
