Also, the bug is that the memberlist (and depot, but we're not using that on that board) doesn't react well to smaller screen widths. I'm in middle of fixing it, but overall I want to make mobile priority #1

A gaming community. For any games, really. Much in the same vein as 101G except without the constant resets and such. NY suggested yesterday we ran a community together and I agreed to do so, perhaps using this software's code as detailed in the other thread I made. I'd like to see people's pre-opening suggestions for it first. My draft for the forum structuring: ==Important== Updates (homepage and announcements) Website Talk Staff Boardroom (staff chat) ==General== General Chat Forum Games Technology ==Gaming== Gaming General Development Mods & Hacks Emulation Multimedia ==Memorial== Honoured Thread The Landfill (trashed threads forum) Hidden Landfill (deleted threads forum) The name will be WhistGamers, named sorta after Windows XP's codename (Whistler) because I like that OS and whistgamers.com is available to register I need help on other stuff, like volunteers for staff etc. though and ways to engage the community properly. You seem quite a chilled out person. I wouldn't mind giving you some kind of staff position. Interest in indie games (and maybe their development too) would also be quite handy as a matter of fact. ^^ PC and Nintendo would probably be the main interest of the community eventually (because the thing is derived originally from Nintendo modding communities) but would like to see some Sony support too, so we'll need at least one other person besides myself to do that, is there anyone who's willing for this job? At most, we should start with: 2 admins (me and NY370) 2 full mods (unsure who yet) 2 local mods (dunno where they'd moderate or who) The admins are definitely confirmed, whilst the mod positions would be up to who's interested as well as mine and NY's own considerations. Also, separate themes should be made (preferably a responsive light theme as default if we want to attract outside-AB users), though we can add a couple from here. Some of the ABXD defaults will also be ported (probably Classic Rounded, Roundish, Flat Grey and Glossy to start with). |

The quick reply box and forum thread listing needs to be fixed too. So does editing a post since the box is vertically tiny and horizontally hugez Also, we'll put the forums in a /forums directory and add a blog too powered by WordPress, which is already set up on a free host temporarily - so Friday isn't a big rush. Not that anyone will read that but oh well, if you want to contribute it'd be nice :) |

Cool. Hope we get it done soon, I'll alert you of any other bugs or issues I come across. If you can, set up a hostname pointer to the free domain I specified (make sure www/https is forced, because I've configured the WP install to use www whenever it needed to be specifed), I'll then give you vPanel access to the WP testhost on Byet and then move it to the Document Root of the gaming site. That way we can at least get something up before the forums get up, and I can publish something (if you want to go even further, upload a clean copy of the board software, create a new DB/user and give me temporary access to setup the board while you're asleep if you get it done) Another thing: we'll need Steam, PSN and Xbox Live profile fields too on the forums we're running (not this one) |

I'll likely setup an rss feed bot for twitter (dlvr.it) that reports the new replies and threads, blog entries handled by WP jetpack Edit: Fuck.
