In the new Nintendo Direct, they announced that they will be porting New Super Mario Bros U to switch. Personally, I don't really agree with this idea. In this thread, I will introduce an idea that would make more sense in my eyes.
Introducing New Super Mario Bros Deluxe, a game that combines all 4 NSMB games into one.
It will all run under the same engine, to fix things like the NSMB groundpound and wall jump, multiplayer and it'll also be HD, so the visuals from older games would look great.
Though, just an HD remaster of the game isn't that big of a deal in my eyes. When talking about this on the Discord Server, I had a thought that might work:
Have any of you guys played Sonic 3 & Knuckles/Knuckles in Sonic 2 physically? You'd have to plug Sonic 3/Sonic 2 into Sonic & Knuckles using lock on technology. I would like for that to be in this NSMBC and have it handled like it was in Sonic Jam.
Maybe if you plug in NSLU in NSMBW, you can play as luigi, and have the shorter levels and a 100 second time limit.
Plug in NSMB2 in NSMBU and you have a coin gimmick in NSMBU.
Sadly, these only work with NSMB2 and NSLU, reason being that NSMB games aren't really unique, but what do you guys think of this idea?
