Okay, so, um, basically, the release of Horizon according to Fruit Smasher will be on Sunday. So to prepare in advance, I removed the NSMBW forums. And since Fruit was also doing NSMBU and the codebase of NSMBW and NSMBU are similar, well... I removed the forums of New Super Mario Bros. Wii and New Super Mario Bros. U, and instead decided to focus solely on SMM hacking. Once Fruit Smasher gives me the link, I was planning to make an announcement. But since he will most likely give it to me tomorrow, and since I won't be here tomorrow, and the fact that it's his forum, well.... I gave him the permission to post in the announcements forum. Disclaimer: This won't be forced, but it would be better to organize stuff for future installments. Okay, so I've just noticed a bunch of stuff that we do. I like a lot of it, but I think it would be better if we started organizing stuff like this: Does your mod make use of Paralax scrolling for the background, or does the tileset look 3D, but still sprite based? If so, you should base your hack off SMB4/SMW. Is your mod a port of Sonic Rush/Sonic Colors DS tilesets? Use SMW, and not NSMBU. Is your mods just ports of NSMBDS/NSMBW/NSMB2 (hacks)? Use NSMBU. Is your mod a port of Sonic Advance tilesets? Use SMB3, and not SMW. Old 3DS XL info:

Also, new update: The NSMBU forums also moved. This also might be a chance to just sticking to SMM (WiiU and 3DS). After all, that was our original plan. Old 3DS XL info:

What you need - ctpktool - Windows 1. Download and extract the zip file. 2. Place your ctpk file in the same directory. 3. Open command line to that directory 4. Type the following (with replacing "file.ctpk" with the file name): 5. Now you can do your edits to the generated PNG without changing the resolution. Also, do not touch the XML file unless noted. 6. Once you are done with the edits, type this (with replacing "folder" with the folder that was made): 7. Enjoy |
