Cancelled
I'm sorry to say, but I have to cancel the project. I just can't find the time to work on it and its been giving me problems from the very beginning. Even if I tried to work on it more, it would get nowhere and just be useless.

Here's the old post:

For that first screenshot, is that pipe at least enterable?

For the third one, make sure that you won't die from entering lower than the area limit.

For Riivolution, you need to make a .xml file.
Old 3DS XL info:
I used to have a 3DSafe A9LH V11.3.0-36U with Luma in my CTRNAND. Since ReiNAND Reibooted and Re-Reileased, I "switch"ed back.
Right now, I have boot9strap with Luma 8.0 as my CFW. Though, I'd like to see other CFW's for B9S.

Hey, nice to see you have joined the New Super Mario Bros. Wii hacking community!

I see, you're coming from Super Mario Maker, aren't you? ^^ Those ideas might be nice in a Super Mario Maker level, but maybe not for a real Mario level. If you were Nintendo, would you really allow players to gain tons of 1UPs that quickly? Nintendo is our idol when it comes to level design. Nintendo also wouldn't trap a player. :)

Again, great to see you joined us, and I hope we will be able to help you build awesome levels! :)

Well I'm just trying to make something unique, and out of the ordinary. I want players to be rewarded when they find a secret, or maybe even punished (as in screenshot 3).

I think you are forgetting about the coin madness that is NSMB2.

If you want an XML, just ask me, and I'll make on for you. I just need to know a couple of things. :)

-The name of the folder that has all the files in your sd card (NSMBW, NewerSMBW, TrapMBW, etc)
-Whether the mod uses the NewerSMBW code set or not

That's it, really. :)

The name of the folder is HSMBW, and i want to be able to change the world map, levels, and title screen logo, where it says New Super Mario Bros. It doesn't use NewerSMBW things. Thanks for helping me out!

This looks a bit...random...
Is there going to be a hint as to where the secrets will be? I don't want to be jumping into random pits...

It's far from easy to edit the world map of New Super Mario Bros. Wii without Newer. If you really want to edit the world map, then you will have to get Newer, a working Reggie! for Newer, and other stuff.

If this is your first hack, maybe let it be this time and just edit the levels, I guess, but it's up to you, of course.

This is the reason, why the NSMB2 editor was named Coinkiller.

...Well, here's the XML file for your mod. Assuming this mod is over NewSMBW and doesn't use the Newer codeset.

Here's a link to the structure of the HSMBW. It's very similar to Cannon Super Mario Bros.

Let me know if you need help with something. :)

Seems your hack features only bonus/obstacles room who are a bit boring to see. Maybe take some screenshots from THE GAME instead of reggie.

Also, I got an idea for the screenshot with all the balls:

Basically, you have a spike pit on the bottom, and only 2 balls, and you are supposed to get out of there by jumping on the ball to the pipe.

1. Maybe more detail. Placing standard blocks is boring. That isn't Mario Maker.
2. Put your screenshots in imgs tags so we can see it on your thread. And it looks much better :)

Although I quite like the odd troll area, most people don't. Make sure you leave lots of extra lives if you're gonna have traps.
