After receiving seven copyright strikes, all from SEGA, BrawlBRSTMs3 X will be terminated in the next seven days according to the channel's currently ongoing 'Farewell Stream' which you can watch here. This is a sign SEGA are starting to become more like Nintendo in terms of dealing with copyrighted content, fair use and DMCA takedowns.
This is just a year and a half after the channel was hacked by a Chinese group and left stagnant for four weeks before being recovered, four years and a bit after the channel was started, and possibly one of the worst 'gifts' you could get for Christmas. I am sad to see the channel is going, and although it is confirmed it will result in a new channel, SmashDSPs (created as a backup in mid-2016 after the hacking events), a similar thing is likely to happen one day given the way YouTube and SEGA are going...
....great job SEGA. I remember from a while back, there was a fangame on YT shown and you made a joke how you would "DMCA" it, and then added a congrats message. What happened to you? Is it because of Sonic Forces's review's were so low, that you let it out on people that have nothing to do with Sonic?
