You should ask about that in the Mario Making Mods discord server, someone may be able to help. I wish I was able to help but don't know about this kind of stuff.
Mudkip97 Posted on 07-06-18, 01:38 am
Wow this looks great

How did you make the custom background?
Lakifume Posted on 07-20-18, 01:04 am
How did you successfully replace NSMBU tileset by 16 bit ones ? I tried and it looks weird for some reason.
Louis Miles Posted on 07-23-18, 02:59 pm
Alright, the mod is nearing completion!:
Tilesets: 90%
Backgrounds: 100%
StaticSkin: 80%
Music: 0%
Soundeffects: 0%

Here are some new screenshots:

I currently have two small issues, but i'm sure they can be solved somehow :)

How did you make the custom background?
By editing the Static.pack. Here is a tutorial ;)

Does it look like this?:

This is the filter used by NSBMU tilesets, which goes out of control if it has a lower resolution. I just scaled the tilesets x4 to get it work.

why not realese a beta of this mod???
NightYoshi370 Posted on 07-26-18, 03:02 am
What's the point of a demo if the full version will be releasing soonTM?
Why not just wait for that?
A Kramer Randomness Posted on 07-26-18, 06:14 am
The Background Looks Stunning!
Louis Miles Posted on 07-29-18, 01:36 pm
Ok, mod is finished. Download is on it's way ;D
DONE! Find the download in the main post ;D
NightYoshi370 Posted on 07-29-18, 05:57 pm
Honestly, this mod looks great! Good job.

But why not replace the airship theme with the sky theme? The sky theme makes more sense considering the original NSMB used sky and didn't even have an airship. Still, I like the replica you made.
TheNawab Posted on 07-29-18, 08:06 pm
Is the weird blue filter issue fixed in this release ? Also, this is looking awesome !
Lakifume Posted on 07-30-18, 12:10 am
So... how did you fix the strange small filter on some edges ?
Louis Miles Posted on 07-31-18, 02:26 pm
I spent the mod a small update!:
-Added 100-Mario Challenge Ending with Peach and/or Toad
-Improved Clown Cars
-Improved Magikoopa

Some enemies are still uneditable (Buzzy Beetle and Bob-Omp) and will be replaced in another update ;D

So... how did you fix the strange small filter on some edges ?
I just followed the old video tutorial by Zachabossaloler Plays, and this worked for some reason :)

Jep ;D. And thank you!

Thank you :)
Hmm, yeah i made lots of thoughts about the airship theme and used the Bob-Omb theme from the minigames. But i'm planning to add some music-themes as an Add-On, where you can download additional music tracks for the mod :)

Problem: How Do You Add The Background?
When I Put The Static.pack In My Folder It Crashes
NightYoshi370 Posted on 08-01-18, 04:15 pm
You should just be able to drop and play on your SD card. No need to open the entire static.pack thingy.
A Kramer Randomness Posted on 08-03-18, 10:09 pm
ok, but what about cemu?
NightYoshi370 Posted on 08-08-18, 03:08 pm
....you just replace the files

Also, Louis Miles, have you tried editing the item selector stuff?
In case you don't know what I'm talking about, I'm talking about this:

I Can Do That!
Leave It To Me!
NightYoshi370 Posted on 08-09-18, 03:39 pm
Drag and drop?
Or the palette editor changing thingy?
A Kramer Randomness Posted on 08-09-18, 03:44 pm
Editing The Pallete!
A Kramer Randomness Posted on 08-21-18, 12:32 am
is there ever going to be a 3ds version???
NightYoshi370 Posted on 08-21-18, 12:33 am
Not by the man himself, but there can be fan ports
A Kramer Randomness Posted on 08-21-18, 12:34 am
how about you, can you port it to the 3ds
NightYoshi370 Posted on 08-21-18, 12:39 am
In texas right now, but I can try to take a look.
I'll first have to see what I need to do about the backgrounds, if that's possible. Most likely not, but who knows
A Kramer Randomness Posted on 08-21-18, 01:20 am
i just want the overworld background to change as well as the entire underground, underwater, ghost house, airship, and castle theme to have the same tilesets and backgrounds in this mod too.
NightYoshi370 Posted on 08-21-18, 01:22 am
backgrounds are most likely not gonna happen, since the way they were done in this mod isn't possible in SMM 3DS afaik
Tilesets are easy and can be done in a day.
Enemies will just involve me not being so lazy
A Kramer Randomness Posted on 08-21-18, 03:24 am
oh! no no, since the nsmbu backgrounds are not 3d models and instead 2d images in the 3ds version it's possible for it to be changed
EDIT: almost forgot! the nsmbu style's edit and create music should change too and no need to do the tilesets and edit/create music for the overworld since aboodxd already did it
EDIT 2: mabye if it's possible for you, you can change the editor pallet, style logo, and the theme lettering on the top left from 'New Super Mario Bros. U' to 'New Super Mario Bros. DS'
NightYoshi370 Posted on 08-21-18, 04:12 am

Yes, it's possible. But if nintendo was smart, it would be hard to.

no need to do the tilesets and edit/create music for the overworld since aboodxd already did it
I will need to port it myself, since I'll otherwise need to ask abood for permission and he will most likely say no, considering the past we've had.
Plus, we're porting this specific mod, not abood's.
A Kramer Randomness Posted on 08-21-18, 04:33 am
1. great!
2. i meant link abood's nsmbds mod since it already has the tilesets and musics changed and you can only make the overworld background! (including the other 5 backdrop themes)
KingofBoos57 Posted on 08-30-18, 09:54 pm
The mod looks awesome!
trussive Posted on 09-04-18, 07:09 pm
For some reason, the download link is just a file containing a empty txt file that's named "ReadMe".
KingofBoos57 Posted on 09-08-18, 11:42 am
This is awesome!
Samplasion Posted on 09-08-18, 01:53 pm

ToastyAsBread Posted on 09-29-18, 06:31 pm
