Open the SZS file in HxD, change the byte at 0x0A to 20.
YES! It's simple and it works! Thank you so much.

Yeah, I know. I left it like that because it reminded me of those huge flowery bushes in NSLU:

Thank you. I'm thinking of making more NSMBU mods but smaller ones like recoloring pipes, change semi-solids and platforms to make it look more like the actual game.
It's also hard to make good mods for this style since we can't really change the backgrounds.

Hey everyone, I'm back with a new mod and this time for SMB3. If you are like me and loved the original game on the NES then this mod is for you. It replaces the airship with the tank theme from world 8.

There is a little preview of what it looks like:

I used sideway pipes as the floor and brick blocks as burners extensions.

Features:
-tileset adapted to the theme
-recolored background
-new conveyor belts
-new burners
-invisible tracks (because why not)

Issues:
-the airship rocking is still there (wich looks a little weird in a tank level)
-the custom conveyors also affect the overworld theme

Download Wii U:
http://www.mediafire.com/file/c0sa48lvs8qw2n8/Tank.rar

Put those two folders in the content folder of the game. Have fun!

Oh yeah, I noticed that when I edited the tileset. So when I imported the NSMBU tiles in SMM I stretched them by 2 pixels on each side to make sure they wouldn't get cut in the game.

Looks really cool! Could you make a Halloween mod for the SMW haunted house too? Because there are a lot of SMM mods that already replace this slot.

Sounds awesome! Yeah, it would definetly make it easier.
BTW, do you know where I could find NSMBU sprites? I can't find a sprite sheet on the Internet.

Oh I forgot about that. It's also one of the reasons why Miyamoto level editor is better than SMM.

Awesome! Has this one been updated from the version on Gamebanana?

BFSAR is a Wii U game compressed music file. Most games have all their musics in this kind of file that can only be opened by a specific software. Luckily, Mario Maker has most of its music outside of the BFSAR wich is why we can easily put custom musics in the game.

So I got inspired by the Casino theme mod posted by NightYoshi370 a while ago and made this new underground theme also from Sonic 2.

Here is a fast layout I made with this mod:

It's the Mystic Cave Zone that replaces the SMW underground theme

Features:
-new tileset (imported)
-new background (not animated)
-new skewer
-new musics
-invisible tracks (yet again)
-another small surprise (because it's christmas)

Download Wii U:
http://www.mediafire.com/file/duqhsupn8zq1ktk/Mystic_Cave_Zone.rar
Put these folders in the content folder of the game.

If you're not a fan of Sonic 2 soundtracks, here is another music I found for this theme. It's from Megaman 6:

Credits to:
-NightYoshi370 for posting the mod that inspired me
-Flare for the sprite sheet
-TheUltimateKoopa, Segtendo and FlameHyenard for uploading the music files on smashcustommusic.com

Issues:
-the first semi-solid might look a little weird if not stretched correctly
-the skewer will look like this in all the SMW themes

Have fun!

Ok than I must be doing something stupid because the command window just says that the file name, directory name, or volume label syntax is incorrect. Is this just the result of something else or the result of my dds file?
Make sure you put spaces between each file in the command prompt otherwise it won't work.

Could you release a Wii U version without the icons and level preview please. That would be great !

Truly a work of art!
Did you also replace the musics in the BFSAR file ?

Also you should remove the musics and sounds that do not play correctly. They will not work unless you edit the BFSAR file.

It's not. I asked him and he said that you can't edit the SMM BFSAR like the NSMBU one. I don't think there is a way, for now.
