This mod was done by yours truly. - This is a Moon level theme based on DuckTales for the NES. The remastered and original song are included. - The character comes in Cartoon Blue and Classic Red. His default sheet uses the pogo jump, but there are also alternate sheets for normal jumps. All matching SFX are included. - Also included in this set is an original level which uses these assets. This is a level based on Zelda II dungeons. It's not an exact replica, but it replicates the Zelda II feel quite well. In designing this level, I used BTG's Zelda II mod. There are two bosses in this level, as well. Theme: BTG's Zelda II Theme (Not included.) Platform: WiiU Replaces: SMB1 Super Mario Maker Bookmark URL Now with a much better video! |

Oops, thank you for bringing it to my attention. I believe I've fixed the problem... awkwardly so. |

Last Updated: 03/07/18 4:18 PM Fixed the transparency issue. I <3 this theme. - You can find most things online; Alex Kidd - Sounds Resource. I haven't found a suitable power bracelet, though; that's going to be a DIY project. - I fixed the SFX, as well. Powerup was a bit too loud, so I normalized it. I'm thinking that "flagpole" should play at the normal speed. I drew the crescent shot by hand, but there may be some errors. It's neat, though the crescent shot doesn't mirror when fired in the opposite direction. - Fixed some minor graphical bugs, and normalized the music. Yay! Still can't quite hear the SFX over the music... might need to boost. Also changed the flagpole to 60 Hz Title Theme. |

It's very good! I am pretty obsessive when it comes to things like this -- so I do have a suggestion to offer, if you would like to hear it. |

So this is Mario. With a plague doctor mask. Also a pretty dapper hat. Come to think of it, this costume reminds me of Spy vs. Spy... and here I thought I was being original. Oh, well. XD Download Costume |

That sounds great! I've made a (Corel) Paint Shop Pro script for converting SMM tilesets to REMaker files, BUT -- well, I'm not sure whether or not the grid version of the SMM tilesets is default. I've seen it both ways, but I made the script for the version *without* gridlines. |

https://www.dropbox.com/s/4t6ngwjwywkaivb/NSMB.png?dl=0 (NSMBU tileset thanks to a GBAtemp user -- Garblant, I think?) This tileset will most likely be released when I find a better rip of the NSMB backgrounds -- I'm having a bit of a time getting them to tile seamlessly. It definitely works, though I ended up making a separate script for coins. I imagine if Paint.net has the same capabilities, a script can be written for that, as well. I haven't written a script for costumes yet, but that would be neat. Especially if I do that for all 153 Mario Maker costumes... - Wrote a script for it. It definitely cuts a lot of the time, though there may be one or two frames that could use some adjustment. The script does only work with the ripped sprites from The Spriter's Resource, though... I'll have to write a new one for custom costume ports. - Almost done with the vanilla Mario Maker costumes. This, of course, does not account for SFX, name data, or anything like that. They'll all be given a generic "Costume, Mario Maker" to start with. I'll also have to rename all of the folders from "7 (Copy 135)" etc. to "7" "8" "9" (etc.), as I'd been doing this for efficiency. |

View Costumes | Download Costumes - Costumes were originally ripped by Random Talking Bush, and ported by yours truly! I somehow hijacked R4z079's thread before doing this -- I found it inspiring. I wanted to port every Mystery Mushroom costume from Super Mario Maker! With that said, they're accepting costume conversion requests -- I wanted to put that out there, as I don't intend to steal their thunder. :) "Okay, so it's a W.I.P.? What's missing?!" - Their respective sound effects - Names (everyone is simply named "Mystery Costume - Super Mario Maker") - Dead and Shoot frames (substituted Appeal and Walk 3, instead) - Optimizations (pixel-perfect positioning, testing, etc.) Enjoy! // I wanted to post a preview, and this is the best we've got. XD A picture of 150 costumes from the Super Mario Wiki! |

Download Theme | Download Costume This theme is a hybrid of NSMB Wii and DS. It's also a test of my theme conversion script for Corel Paint Shop Pro. The hardest part of all of this was the background; I actually had to redraw a bunch of it for seamless tiling; if I did it right, you wouldn't have known. :) - Big Mario Costume is now available! Big Mario rips are by Larry Inc 64! Edited by yours truly. |

I can definitely rip some HQ coins -- but unfortunately, I'd be stuck with ripping a low-quality DS Big Mario, for the time being. That is the only 3D Mario that I can find a sprite sheet for. Other than that, we're pretty much stuck with 8-bit sprites. - I've updated the original link with the new coins and NSMB Big Mario. |

I started a separate thread, to avoid hijacking yours. The good news is, the tileset is ready for you to use! I'm also working on a NSMB Mario. Big Mario, that is. I know there are already NSMB Marios for REMaker, but I'm crazy nitpicky -- it has to be *just* right. I also ported all 153 Mystery Costumes. |

It was a matter of running a macro/script I wrote for Random Talking Bush's sprite sheet from The Spriter's Resource, renaming the same folder, repeating these two steps over and over again, and remembering to add the mandatory .txt files after I got 10 sprites in. XD But thank you. Also, I'll have to credit the ripper -- thanks for the reminder! - SMM didn't have those frames, but I only had to substitute the frames it did have. Appeal works surprisingly well for dying! XD |
